Welcome to Daffodils Diary

I have always loved putting pen to paper.

There is something so personal about a handwritten note or a card chosen especially for someone. Even a beautifully wrapped gift can say, “I was thinking about you.” Those little gestures matter, and they have always been at the heart of Daffodils in Del Mar.

I started Daffodils Diary as a place to share more of what inspires me and what is happening behind the scenes at the shop.

I’ll be writing about stationery, thoughtful gifts, favorite books, vintage treasures, seasonal traditions, and some of the people and memories that have shaped Daffodils along the way.

I have always been drawn to pretty things with a story—a vintage greeting card saved for decades, a favorite book, a beautiful ribbon, an old teacup, or something found unexpectedly while antiquing. To me, these things are more than just objects. They remind us of people, places, and moments in our lives.

As Daffodils begins this new chapter, I hope the Diary feels a little like sitting together at a pretty desk near an open window, talking about the things we love and sharing ideas for making life and gift-giving a little more thoughtful and beautiful.
